Episode #248 - Up The Spout Again

Paige finds the key that Rick Hawkins sent her. She finds it on Greg's dresser next to his cufflinks. Then Greg wakes up and sees Paige next to his dresser. He then says, "Hey, come on back to bed." Paige slowly walks back to his bed then grabs her shoes and runs out the door. Greg has a puzzeled look on his face then realizes what Paige was doing. Greg walks outside in his coat yelling for Paige to come back. It is pouring rain outside. Paige is in a state of panic and keeps running around Greg's yard. Then Ted drives up and gets out and says, "Come on Paige, Come with me Paige". He tells her that she would not be running out in the rain if she was not afraid of Greg. Both of the men keep on calling to Paige telling her to come with them. Paige finally chooses Ted. In Ted's car Paige tells him that Greg burglarized her apartment. He asked her what he took and she says she does not know. Ted asked her where the key is and she says, "What key?" Ted says that she knows what key, the key that Rick Hawkins sent to her. She says she left it at Greg's. Ted does not believe that her apartment was burglarized so she takes him there. Her apartment is a mess. Paige thanks Ted for the ride and says that he can go home now. Ted asked Paige if she is sure she does not have the key. She says she is sure. Ted asked her where the key was when she found it. She said it was on Greg's dresser with his cufflinks. Ted is on the way out the door when Greg calls and leaves a message on the machine. He tells Paige not to give the key to Ted. Ted hears this and demands she give him the key. She does and then Ted leaves. Greg leaves his house to go and find Paige. Then Ted climbs in Greg's window, locks his bedroom door and starts looking around.

The next day, Paige waits by her car at Rick Hawkins's house and waits for the mailman. When he comes, she pretends that she lives there and takes the mail from the mailman. She looks through the mail looking for an envelope that will say POSTMASTER on it. She finally finds it but is dissapointed because the check she was looking for was written out to any bank.

Greg comes home and finds his room looking trashed, and he is mad.

Paige decides to go to Spring Lake, where Rick's cabin is located. Ted goes up there also.

Meanwhile, Mac comes in to Karen's hospital room with Paula and says that she's a free woman but has to wait for the wheelchair. Karen tells Mac she can walk but he says those are the rules. Paula tells Mac and Karen that she will just take a bus to where she is going. Mac and Karen start heading home.

Sally's Friend is complaining to someone on the phone. She keeps yelling, "No, No, do not come over. I want you out of my life." She then hangs up. Then she calls Gary but he hangs up on her because she has nothing to say.

Karen tells Mac that she thinks that Paula seemed nervous, but Mac said he did not notice.

Val tells Aunt Ginny that Danny called to cancel their date because he is sick in bed with hay fever, but Val does not really believe him.

Gary and Pat talk about Sally's Friend. She asked him why he puts up with her not telling him her name. Gary said he does not really have much choice. Back at home, Gary gets another call from Sally's Friend and he tells her to give him her name right now, or don't call back again. She does not respond so Gary hangs up the phone.

While riding home, Mac tries to tell Karen that him and Paula had to share a room. But she does not understand what he is saying. She says that it's to hard to hear while she is in the backseat.

When Paige reaches Spring Lake, she pulls into a nearby parking lot and asked a cop where the post office was. He points her in the right direction but tells her it does not open until 8:00 in the morning. The cop asked Paige if she would join him for dinner but Paige said no. She follows him as he takes her to the nearest motel for her to stay at for the night.

Ted gets to the Post Office but is angry that it is closed.

Sally's Friend calls Gary on his answering machine again and tells him to please pick up the phone. Gary just sits on his couch listening to her. She says that she does not trust men but does agree to meet Gary. Gary then picks up the phone and says, "What's this about meeting?" She then says, "Well lets do it." Gary is happy about this and says lets meet tonight. Sally's Friend agrees.

Val goes to Danny's with some chicken noodle soup to see if Danny is really sick. She is happy to see that he is indeed sick. He tells her that he thought it was just hay fever but now thinks it's a cold. Val tells him she is glad that he is sick. Danny says, "What!" Val then says, "I meen I am glad that you told me the truth." They then kiss. Then Val gets up a tries to walk out. Danny asks her if she wants to stay. She says no. He says are you sure. She says no. Then she walks out smiling.

Sally's friend calls Gary again just to confirm the date. Gary says he is almost ready.

Greg sees Ted in a Bar in Spring Lake and demands that he give him the key. Ted says no. Then Greg shows Ted a big man named Billy. Billy tells Ted to give Greg the key. Ted does. Then Greg walks out and shouts out, "Hey, drinks are on Ted!"

Gary is on his way out the door when the phone rings. He picks it up. It's Sally's Friend. She asked him if he has any second thoughts about them meeting. Gary says no, absolutly not. She says okay. Then someone knocks at her door. She tells Gary to hold on, someone's here. She sets the phone down and answers the door. Then she and the person at the door begin to fight while Gary listens in on the whole thing. It sounds like the person is beating her up. There is a bunch of screaming. Gary then screams, "Say your number, Tell me your number, What's your number?" Then the phone goes dead.

Episode #249 - Poetic Justice

Gary calls his phone company asking them about his last incoming call. They tell him that they have no way of tracing it. Gary is very angry at this.

Gary talks to Karen and Mac. Gary thinks Sally's Friend could be dead. Gary starts calling around to everyone asking people if the know someone who has a friend name Sally and a dog named Chester.

Val tells Danny she has not been this happy in a long time. Val realizes that her and Danny have a lot of the same interests.

While walking to the post office, Paige bumps into Greg in Spring Lake. He tells her that Ted is here also. Paige agrees to let Greg go into the post office alone but Greg is mad that it is not the right key when he tries to open the box. Greg then goes over to where Billy is keeping Ted tied up in. Greg demands that Ted give him the right key. Ted says that's the only key that Paige gave him. Paige starts trying the mailboxes one by one hoping that one will open up. Greg starts running back to the post office to try and stop Paige from getting into the box. While Billy is in the bathroom, two kids come in and let Ted go. The kids are afraid that Billy will be mad at them so they leave to. Ted gets away. He starts heading for the post office. Greg gets to the post office and starts yelling at Paige and telling her that she's a liar. A cop comes in and breaks up the fight and tells Greg to leave. Paige continues to look through the boxes. Ted gets to the post office and sees Greg talking to a cop outside. Paige finds the right mailbox and takes all the mail out and runs to her car. The cops let Greg go. Paige drives off. Then Ted steals a truck and follows her. Then Greg gets in his car and follows Ted.

Gary has someone from the phone company come to his house to help him find Sally's Friends number. Gary is suprised to learn how many Sally's there are in the phone book.

Karen and Val have a nice talk about Danny. She tells her how happy she is with Danny and how he has changed her life. Val says Danny is an incredible man.

Gary starts calling all the Sally's in the phone book. He has no luck. Most of the people that he calls hang up on him because they think he is crazy.

Danny and Val have coffee at her house. As Val is cleaning the dishes, Danny begins to kiss her. Then the kids come home with Aunt Ginny and they all see them kissing.

Val sits with the kids and talks to them about the kiss. She explains to them that they have friends and she has to have friends to. The kids don't think that Val loves them anymore. Val says that's not true.

While driving, Paige gets a flat tire and drives to the nearest auto shop. She asked the man working there if he could fix it in the garage with the door closed. The man said, "Why?" Paige said, "Because I will give you an extra $20.00, that's why." The man agrees. Paige goes into the restroom and starts looking through the mail. All of a sudden the door to the bathroom starts falling apart. Paige realizes that it is Ted knocking it down with a crowbar. Paige jumps out the window with a few of the papers. Then Greg drives up and demands that she give him the papers. She said no. Then Ted comes back out. He has the crowbar in his hands pointing it at Paige telling her to give him the papers. She does. Then Ted drives off as Paige and Greg watch. Paige and Greg then go into the garage to find the tied up employee. They untie him. Then a cop comes in and Greg tells them that the pickup truck that was stolen just drove right past here. Paige and Greg start heading back in their separate cars. On the way they stop and see Ted's truck being pulled out of the water. They assume Ted has drowned, but he didn't. While walking down a different road, Ted gets a ride from someone heading his way, with the papers still in his hands.

Val tells Danny that the kids don't want anyone to come between their mommy and them. Danny says it will take some time for them to get used to having him be around so much. Val says she has to bring the kids first. Danny understands. Danny asks Val to marry him. Val just sits there shocked.

Episode #250 - Prince Charming

Val tells Danny she can't marry him because she hardly knows him. Danny agrees to go with Val to Mac and Karen's party. Danny tells Val that she will fall in love with him and she will marry him.

Paige drops by the Photo Printing Office and drops off the negitives she found. Greg walks in and tells her to have lunch with him while she waits for the pictures. Paige said yes. Greg tells Paige she can have her old job back.

Karen explains to Frank and Pat how she hurt her leg. Mac comes downstairs and tells them all that he spent the night in the motel room with Paula. Mac said nothing happened. Karen and Mac begin to argue while Frank and Pat just sit there watching. Mac tells Karen she is getting carried away. Paula calls and Karen invites her to the barbecue.

While in the kitchen arguing, Karen and Mac see Eric and Linda come in. They all hug.

Paula asked her co-worker if he will come with her as her date to the barbecue. He agrees.

Paige goes back to the Printing Office and is mad that the pictures are not ready yet.

Greg walks into his office and sees Ted sitting on his couch. Ted tells Greg that they have to talk. Ted tells Greg that he wants the negatives. Greg tells Ted he has never seen them. Ted tells Greg that he better get them or he will be in more trouble that Ted is.

Greg goes to the Printing Office to pick up the pictures. The clerk tells him that Paige already picked them up.

Paige sits in her car looking at the pictures.

Harold and Oliva continue to argue about money. Oliva tells Harold that they can't go to anymore movies because they need to save money.

Val tells Karen that Danny proposed to her. Karen is suprised. Val says she is not ready for all of this, although she says she is considering marring him.

Oliva tells Harold they could be rich if he would stop buying things they don't need.

Pagie comes hom and sees Greg sitting on her couch. She tells him she turned the pictures over to the police.

Danny and Val walk up to the school playground. He sees a woman singing a song to the children. He did not recognize her. He asked Val who she was. Val told Danny that is the kid's teacher Amanda. Danny gets nervous and waits in the car. When the kids see Val they tell her they are mad at her for bringing Danny.

At the party, Paula and her date arrive. Mac and Karen meet him.

Mac avoids going outside where Paula is.

Frank and Danny meet at the party.

Pat shows Frank, Val and Danny what Gary put in the newspaper. The article said in very big words, "SALLY'S FRIEND." Danny wanted to know who Sally's Friend was. Danny said that article must have costed thousands of dollars to publish.

Gary continues to call all of the Sally's in the phone book. He has no luck.

Pagie walks into Macs kitchen and sees him standing there alone. They hug and are very happy to see each other. Paige tells Mac that she works for Greg Sumner again. Mac gets very angry. Mac and Paige start screaming at each other.

At the party, Mac and Paula always look at each other.

Mac and Karen are in the kitchen alone and Karen demands that Mac tell her what happened in the motel room. Eric and Linda interupt and Linda asks Karen and Mac if she can stay here while Eric tries to find an apartment. Karen says yes. Eric and Linda leave the room. Mac tells Karen that there was only one room left in the apartment and that it was pouring rain. He said he had no choice. Mac and Karen make up.

Paige walks in Greg's office and sees Greg with Ted. Paige is mad. Ted tells her that the police found no evidance against him. Greg sends Ted to Japan to live. Paige gets very mad at Greg.

Ted waits till Paige leaves and he meets her in the elevator. They begin talking very rudely to each other. Paige slaps Ted and Ted slaps Paige right back.

Danny and Val are on her door step kissing. Danny asked Val if she could come to his place. Val told Danny that she could not. Danny understood. They keep kissing and they declare their love for one another. Val goes into her house and Danny leaves.

Danny then goes to Amanda's house. Danny asks Amanda if she believes that a good looking guy like him has a free evening. Amanda tells Danny that he is hopeless. Danny says, "That's why you love me." Danny walks in and they kiss.

Episode #251 - Close Call

Paige tells Carlos she does not know if she can ever trust Greg. She does not know if he ever loved her. Carlos tells Paige that he would not tell her if he did.

Val drops the kids off at school. As Val is leaving she sees Danny. Danny said he did not want the kids to see him. Danny wants to have the whole day with Val. Val says no but Danny talks her into it.

Gary goes to Macs office with his answering machine telling them that when she called, there was a lot of noise in the background. They hire a sound expert and he tells him it's a pavement cuter. Then Gary and Frank go down to city hall to find out who has been tearing up the streets. They then go to some of the neighborhoods knocking on doors looking for someone named Sally's Friend. They tell everyone she has a dog named Chester. Frank says that they are trying to find a needle in a haystack. Gary says he will knock on every door in the neighborhood until she finds her.

At the school, the kids ask Gary if they can live with him because they don't like Danny.

Paige tells Greg that she will come back to the company only if she gets his ex-wifes old office, an expense account, a company car, her own secretary, a computer and a $120,000 a year salary. Greg asks her what people are going to think he's really paying her for. Paige says she can't help what people think. Paige says she thinks she's worth it.

Gary drops the kids off at Val's house and tells her that the kids don't like Danny. Gary asked Val if she thinks Danny is doing anything to them. Val says "No, of course not." Val tells Gary that the kids saw them kissing.

Greg gives Michael a $100,000 check for his software program. Greg asks Michael to come and work for him.

Val tells Karen that mabey she should stop seeing Danny. Her kids have to come first.

Mac, Karen and Linda are all having dinner when Michael walks in very happy. He shows them the check that Greg gave him. He tells them that Greg wants him to work for him. His parents say only after he finishes school. Michael tells them he already dropped his classes and Greg wants him to start Monday. Michael says it's his own life and he can do whatever he wants with it.

Harold and Oliva fight about financial problems. Michael and Linda stop by.

Karen and Mac talk about how much they don't want Michael to work for Greg but it is his own life.

Harold and Oliva are very excited for Michael. Michael tries to decide what kind of expensive car he wants to buy.

Val goes to Danny's apartment and tells him that Gary is the kids real father. Danny is shocked. He says he thought the kids needed a father but they don't. He now realizes why Gary hangs around so much. Val says that Gary and her are not together anymore. When Val leaves she tells Danny to call her. He says he will.

Mort is in Greg's ex-wife's office planning to move in. He tells Bob that he knows he will get this office. Paige walks in and starts unpacking her boxes. She tells Mort and Bob that she is moving into this office. Mort is sad.

Paula stops by to see Karen. Karen is mad ad her for being in love with Mac. Paula says she had a crush on Mac but was never in love with him. Karen does not believe her.

Frank and Pat ask Gary to come to the club tonight and hear Frank sing. Gary agrees.

Karen yells at Michael for wanting to work for Greg Sumner. She tells him he is out of his mind.

Greg and Paige have a drink together in his office.

At the club, a woman is singing a song. Gary tells Pat she is a good singer. After the song, she goes and sits with a man. Gary sees this and notices that the man is Danny. They get up and walk out. Frank gets up to sing. Gary follows them out to the parking lot and sees them kiss. When the singer gets into her car, Gary sees a dog. She calls the dog Chester. She then drives away. Gary then realized that she was Sally's Friend.

Episode #252 - Best Interests

Gary runs back into the bar and asks Frank and Pat who the singer was. Pat tells him that her name is Amanda Michaels. He asks her what her number is. She does not know. Gary then calls information asking them for her number but the number is unlisted. Gary tells Frank and Pat that she is Sally's Friend. Gary asks the manager of the bar what her number is. The manager won't give out that information. Gary has her call Amanda for him. She does, but there is no answer. Gary then asks Frank and Pat what Danny's last name is because he would know her phone number. They don't know the number. Gary calls Mac and Karen while they are asleep and wakes them up. He asks them what Danny's last name is but they too have no idea. They are angry that Gary called so late at night. Gary tells Pat and Frank that Danny kissed Amanda. Frank tells them that in California people kiss other people for no reason at all.

The next morning, Gary drives to Val's house. Danny and Val are both outside. Gary tells Val that he needs to talk to Danny. Gary tells Danny that he needs the phone number of the singer that he saw last night. Danny wants to know why he needs the number. Danny wants to know how Gary knows that he even knew her. Gary said that he saw him with Amanda, walked out with her and kissed her. Val is shocked. Val asks Danny who she is. Danny said that Amanda is his wife. "Oh My God", Gary said. Danny tells Val that the marriage has been over for a long time. Val runs into the house very mad. Gary tells Danny that he needs the phone number. Danny said that he will tell Amanda that Gary is looking for her and if she wants to contact him that will be her choice. He said that he will not give Gary the number. Gary walks into Val's house and tells her that she is sorry that she had to find out like this. He says that he does not want to see her get hurt. Val tells Gary that she can take care of herself. Gary leaves and sees Danny still standing at the front door. Gary asks Danny, "Why are you still here?" Danny said that he needs to see Val. Gary said that she does not want to see you. Gary then tries to punch Danny but Danny moves out of the way and Gary hits his hand on the door hard.

Aunt Ginny goes witht the twins to her best friends office. The kids have to go to the bathroom. While they are gone, Ginny's friend, Geri, goes into the safe and takes a lot of money and puts it into her purse. Then Betsy walks in but does not realzie what is happening.

When Paige gets to work, Greg asks her if she would like to go out to lunch. Paige declines.

Danny asks Amanda to meet Val. She says that she will not. He says he is having problems with Val. He says that Val's ex husband saw them kissing last night and told Val. Danny tells Amanda that the guy who saw them kissing wants to meet you. She says, "Not a chance!" Danny says that his name is Gary. "Gary!" she said.

While in a meeting, Greg keeps on looking in Paige's office watching her with her appointment, a very good looking man. Greg gets jealous. He asks Mort what the guys name is. Mort said that his name is Peter, the vice president of a different company.

Val comes home and Aunt Ginny tells her that Danny has called at least six times since she left. Val says that she does not care. She gets in her car and drives away. After she leaves, a cop car drives into the cul-de-sac and stops in front of Val's house with Aunt Ginny just standing there.

Aunt Ginny calls Mac at his office and tells him that she is in jail.

Val goes to Danny's apartment to listen to what Danny has to say. He tells her that him and Amanda have been married for over 6 years. Val tells Danny that she is mad that he never told her that he was a married man. She gets up and runs out of the apartment.

Gary is outside when Chester and Amanda walk up. They finally meet. She says that she could not call him because her phone looses it's memory after it's been unpluged. They both go horseback riding.

Mac, Karen, Val and Ginny talk about Jeri and the stolen money. Ginny tells them that Jeri admits she took the money but won't give it back because it is hers from her retirement plan. This matter gets very serious. Mac becomes Jeri's lawyer. Jeri made it clear that she will NEVER return the money. Mac tells her that she will go to jail if she does not.

Danny goes to Amanda's apartment to give her her records. They talk about Gary. Danny told Amanda that Gary tried to punch him, that's how he hurt is hand.

Val tells Gary that he is jealous of Danny. He says he is only concerned for her and his kids.

We see the top floor of Jeri's apartment building. The camera scrolls to the bottom of the screen. We then see Jeri splattered on the sidewalk, dead.
